New Tiny Home Community Visuals

The model for the Land for the Homeless Central NJ Transitional Tiny Home Community (L4H-CNJ-TTHC) consists of 6 tiny houses each containing two clients, a full community center built out of a refurbished 40′ shipping container, community gardens throughout the facility with outdoor seating, and a shed for additional storage.
The tiny homes will each feature a full bathroom, plentiful shelving for the storage of clients’ personal items, two high rise beds with bonus storage room underneath, and desk space for two.

At the front of the community center is the “info corner” where clients and volunteers can see announcements posted and take any papers or pamphlets laid out. This leads into the main dining/classroom area. For dining purposes there are tables that seat approximately 14, providing space for clients and visitors to connect with one another and share a meal together. For classroom purposes there is a laptop-mirroring TV screen which can be used to present to clients on topics like computer literacy and personal finance. For slightly larger presentations or events such as a small film screening, the tables can be folded down to allow for the seating of about 28.
Behind this is a kitchenette area with a stacked washer/dryer for clients to clean their clothes and a bookshelf that will hold personal care products which clients can take back to their units.
At the back of the community center is a small bathroom and administrative office.

The model is designed to fit onto the buildable square footage of the plot of land we own in Monmouth County (exact placement of the structures may vary), on par to be entirely powered by renewable energy, and is estimated on a preliminary basis to cost ~$65,000 to construct. This cost of construction drops considerably with the donation of building materials, furniture, and appliances. We will be updating our formal nonprofit plan to reflect this planned development.
